Shaping the Entrepreneurial Mindset Among the Youth:

NeuXP Organised a One Day Entrepreneurship Workshop for University Students

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – NeuXP Group (NeuXP), a digital banking and lifestyle platform provider, following the success its Entrepreneurship Challenge in 2021, has organised the NeuXP Entrepreneurship Workshop (NEW) on 8 October 2022. The one-day workshop, which was held in collaboration with TusStar Malaysia Incubator (TusStar), an integrated platform that provides innovative services for startups, was specially catered for college and university students in Malaysia between the age of 18 to 25 years old.

 

NEW 2022 is part of NeuXP’s ongoing effort to shape and cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset among the younger generation. The goal is to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit, knowledge, and experience among the youth, so that they are equipped with valuable skills and a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship fundamentals at an early stage. Essentially, the workshop would expose them to key topics, insightful information and team activities that will facilitate their journey toward becoming entrepreneurs or part of the business world.

During the one-day workshop, the participants were presented with an insightful sharing session by the honourable guest speaker YBhg. Puan Sri Datin Liana Lim Abdullah, the Organising Chairwoman for the BrandLaureate - Education Leadership Branding Awards 2022. During her sharing session, YBhg. Puan Sri Datin Liana Lim Abdullah outlined the importance of keeping up to date with the latest technologies and trends in wellness, metaverse, blockchain and NFT (Non-Fungible Token) for aspiring young entrepreneurs. The participants were also encouraged to be more pro-active and seize every opportunity to network to be more successful in their entrepreneurial journey.  

 

Other speakers who presented during the workshop were the CEO of NeuXP, Mr. Jeremy Mah, representatives from TusStar and NeuXP’s partners, Epic Startups as well as CloudBae Smart City Data Service Co., Ltd. in China. Some of the topics covered by the speakers were on setting up a company, preparing a pitch deck, branding and innovation. At the end of the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to present and pitch their teams’ business ideas to exercise the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout the programme.  

NeuXP is confident that the workshop has not only achieved its objective to kick start the entrepreneurial journey for the participants, but it has also given them the platform to polish their presentation skills, teamwork and innovative ideas. Aside from equipping them with entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, this programme will also open doors for potential internships or commercialisation of their business ideas with NeuXP and its partners. With the success of this workshop, NeuXP will continue to make it a yearly programme, in line with its aspiration to encourage more innovative entrepreneurs among the youth in Malaysia and beyond.
